FKMCD is currently evaluating a new mosquito control strategy in collaboration with MosquitoMate. This strategy involves the release of male Aedes aegypti mosquitoes that have Wolbachia, a naturally occuring bacteria that renders mosquito eggs non-viable. This method is approved for trial by the Environmental Protection Agency.
